Pan Poker
A
variation of the game of Corquian, a Game of Mexican origin which
was a predecessor to the game of rummy.
- The game
can be played by up to 7 players and is played with 8 decks of
cards which have the 8's, 9's, and 10's removed.
- Each player
is dealt 10 cards having special assigned values. Each player,
in turn, draws either a card from the top of the remaining deck
or from the top of an adjacent discard pile.
- After selecting
a card and making whatever melds are possible, a player places
a card on the top of the discard pile.
- This sequence
of play continues until one player goes out with a total meld
of 11 cards including the card just drawn.
